The House of Lords is the highest court in the UK. Judges of The House of Lords are "life peers". A life peer is a British peer whose title lapses at death.
There are 12 Law Lords and their role is to hear cases from the lower courts on appeal. The Law Lords can participate in a debate and enactment of Government legislation.
No court in UK can change The House of Lords decision. However, The European Court of Justice are able to do so and can change decision made of The House of Lords.
